Standards Before Building

The implementation of the Athens-Clarke County stormwater program encourages quality growth in the community. Credits are given for developments that take measures to limit stormwater runoff and contribute to a healthy watershed. By adopting a new Stormwater Management Ordinance, Athens-Clarke County policymakers have ensured that developers have standards before they build, and that all property designs incorporate sensitivity for long-term environmental stewardship.

Developers and ACC Staff Work Together
